Garmin USB-C permanent power supply, 4 metres long, for using your Garmin dashcam in parking mode. This handy continuous power supply is specially designed to connect the dashcam professionally and to enable its use in parking mode. By concealing the cables, the dashcam is ultimately less noticeable than when using the cigarette lighter or optional OBD power supply.
3-wire
This Garmin power supply is a 3-wire hardwire kit that connects at three points, preferably at the car's fuse box. The yellow (BATT) cable is connected to a fuse that supplies continuous power (even when the ignition is off), the red (ACC) to a switched fuse (which only supplies power when the ignition is on) and the black (GND) to the earth. In this way, the power supply sends a signal to the dashcam when the ignition is turned on and off, so that the dashcam will automatically switch to parking mode.
Battery protection
The power supply has built-in protection that cuts off the power at a voltage of 11.6V/23.2V or lower. This prevents the car battery from being overloaded and switches off the dashcam when the voltage becomes too low. It is suitable for 12V and 24V vehicles.
