Looking for a good dashcam for your convertible? Installing one – especially the rear camera – can be a bit trickier in a convertible. After all, you don't want cables getting stuck in your roof. Smaller dashcams are also often more convenient in a convertible because the interior space is often more limited than in regular cars.
A good option is therefore to choose a dashcam with a second interior camera. The AZDome M770 Pro, for example, has the option (see accessories) to insert a second interior camera into the front dashcam. In addition to the interior, this also films a large part of the area behind the car. The Vantrue N2X is a similar model. The advantage is that you don't have to pull a cable to the rear, which makes installation a lot easier.
An even better option is a dashcam with a telephoto rear camera, such as the Vantrue A329T. This type of telephoto camera is placed on the windscreen and has a small viewing angle, allowing it to film behind the car through the rear window without filming a large part of the interior. Nextbase also offers a telephoto camera as an accessory for most models.
