This AZDome PG17 Max is a mirror dashcam from AZDome with unique features that make your journeys much more pleasant. The large 12-inch touchscreen LCD acts as a digital rear-view mirror, and the front and rear cameras record everything around the car in detail.
The Sony Starvis sensors in this AZDome PG17 Max ensure highly detailed videos. The camera performs particularly well in the dark. The rear camera is connected to the front camera with a long 6-metre cable. An extension cable of 10 metres is available for longer vehicles (see accessories). This is useful if you want to use the dashcam in a motorhome or caravan, for example.
The AZDome PG17 Max Wifi is a uniquely designed 2CH dashcam that can be placed over any rear-view mirror using the included rubber brackets. Its large 12-inch touchscreen LCD screen makes it a high-quality digital rear-view mirror. The rear camera is displayed clearly and in full on the large screen, and you can switch between the front and rear cameras with a single swipe on the screen.
At the touch of a button, the display can also be switched off or put into standby mode, displaying the time and date. In this way, the PG17 Max Wifi functions as a normal rear-view mirror.
The AZDome PG17 Max is equipped with an Advanced Driver Assistant System (ADAS) with various options:
- FCWS: Forward Collision Warning System that warns when a vehicle in front is approached at high speed.
- LDWS: Lane Departure Warning System that warns when you change lanes without noticing.
- PDWS: Pedestrian Collision Warning System that warns when pedestrians are in the vicinity.
- FVSW: Front Vehicle Start Warning that warns when the vehicle in front has started moving from a standstill.
The warnings are given in the form of an audible signal. Both systems can be switched on and off separately. Please note that the use of ADAS on European roads does not always produce accurate and reliable results due to the large differences in infrastructure.
Because the AZDome PG17 Max Wifi is equipped with fast 5GHz wifi, all images can be viewed quickly and easily via your smartphone. The wifi has a range of about 10 metres. The AZDome App is available for iOS (Apple) and Android phones and tablets. The app allows you to view and download images so that you no longer need to remove the SD card from the camera.
Thanks to its handy design and rear camera, the AZDome PG17 Max Wifi is also ideal for use as a parking aid when parking. The rear camera comes with an extra cable that can be connected to the power supply of the reversing light. When the car is put into reverse, the rear camera automatically displays a large image on the screen, together with parking aid indicators.
The PG17 Max Wifi Full Mirror has a handy automatic Time Lapse parking mode function to secure the car when it is parked. In this Time Lapse mode, the camera takes a photo every second, which is later played back as a video. This has a distinctive character that makes it appear as if it is being fast-forwarded.
Thanks to the Time Lapse mode, the videos do not take up too much space and can therefore be recorded for a very long time without the SD card becoming full. In combination with the optional hardwire kit (see accessories), the parking mode switches on automatically when the car's ignition is turned off and normal recording resumes when the car is started.
The included GPS module for the AZDome PG17 Max Wifi tracks the current coordinates and also displays the speed on the screen. With the special AZDome software, the locations of recorded images can be displayed later on the computer based on these coordinates.
The AZDome PG17 Max Wifi Full Mirror comes with a 64GB Micro SD card. This allows for approximately 6 hours of filming in Full HD. The camera supports Micro SD cards up to 256GB.
This PG17 Max Wifi Full Mirror has a wide-angle lens of 170 degrees at the front and 150 degrees at the rear. This means that virtually everything that happens around the car is recorded.
The AZDome PG17 Max Wifi Full Mirror dashcam automatically starts filming when the car is started and stops filming when the car is turned off. So you don't have to worry about it when it's in the car.
The built-in G-sensor detects when you have had an accident. In the event of an impact, images are automatically saved so that they are not lost. They cannot be overwritten or deleted via the dashcam.
In addition to filming, the PG17 Max Wifi Full Mirror also has the option to take 12-megapixel photos. This is useful for recording damage after an accident, for example.
The AZDome PG17 Max Wifi Full Mirror has a built-in microphone so that sound is also recorded. The microphone can also be turned off if desired.
The current time and date are always displayed on the screen so that the time at which the recordings were made can be demonstrated later.
