The Viofo A229 Ultra 2CH is the latest version of the Viofo A229 series. This Ultra version films with 4K resolution at the front and rear. The Sony Starvis 2 sensors guarantee the best quality videos, both during the day and at night.
2x 4K recordings
Because the Viofo A229 Ultra 2CH is equipped with two Sony Starvis 2 image sensors, the video quality is unrivalled. The rear camera is connected to the front camera with a long 6-metre cable (included). The images from the rear camera are stored separately on the SD card. The rear camera is displayed on a quarter of the 2.4-inch HD LCD screen via PiP (Picture in Picture).
Dual-Band Wifi
The Viofo A229 Ultra 2CH is equipped with dual-band Wifi (5Ghz), which makes file transfer very fast and the network very reliable. The Viofo App allows you to view and download images directly via Wifi on any iOS and Android phone and tablet.
Includes CPL filter
The included CPL filter guarantees optimal protection and image quality in sunny conditions. The CPL filter works for the dashcam like polaroid sunglasses for the eyes. Harmful UV radiation is filtered out and annoying reflections are eliminated. This improves the image quality and durability of the camera. The CPL-300 filter is available as an option for the rear camera (see accessories).
Automatic parking mode
The Viofo A229 Ultra Duo 4K Wifi is equipped with an automatic parking mode with motion detection or Time Lapse. With motion detection, the camera is on standby and starts recording for 30 seconds when motion is detected. With Time Lapse, the camera continuously records a 1fps video that can later be played back (in fast motion) as a 30fps video. This ensures that evidence is always available if the car is damaged while parked.
Please note: The automatic parking mode only works if the dashcam is used with the Viofo HK6 hardwire kit (see accessories). When connected, the camera will automatically switch to parking mode when the car's ignition is turned off and switch to normal recording when the car is started.
Bluetooth SOS button (optional)
With the handy optional Viofo A229 Ultra Duo 4K Wifi Bluetooth SOS button, a manual SOS recording can be started on the Viofo A229 Ultra 2CH at the touch of a button. The SOS button can be easily connected to the Viofo A229 Ultra 2CH by turning on the dashcam and holding the button down for 3 seconds. The blue indicator LED on the button will light up blue when the connection is successfully established. The SOS button can be mounted anywhere in the vehicle using the supplied adhesive pad.
GPS module
The Viofo A229 Ultra 2CH comes standard with a GPS module. The GPS allows the current speed to be displayed on the screen. This can be crucial as evidence in the event of an incident. In addition, the GPS remembers the locations where the dashcam was used to film. The route travelled can therefore be viewed using the software on the PC.
2.4-inch HD LCD screen
This Viofo A229 Ultra 2CH dashcam has a 2.4-inch HD LCD screen. The screen displays live images and allows for easy menu operation. The built-in screensaver automatically turns off the LCD screen after a set number of minutes, if desired, so that it does not distract the driver.
140˚ + 160˚ wide-view lens
Thanks to the 140˚ + 160˚ wide-view “fish eye” lens, the Viofo A229 Ultra 2CH has a wide range and records almost everything in the surrounding area.
1.8 aperture 7G lens
The 1.8 aperture at the front and 1.9 aperture at the rear, in combination with a 7G lens, captures a lot of light, resulting in excellent image quality both during the day and in the dark.
HDR
HDR (High Dynamic Range) technology enables the camera to generate sharp images in very high and very low light conditions. This allows the camera to record razor-sharp images both during the day in bright light and at night in low light conditions.
WDR
The Viofo A229 Ultra 2CH is equipped with WDR (Wide Dynamic Range) hardware. This allows the dashcam to automatically adjust the light intensity depending on the environment. The WDR thus guarantees the best image quality under changing conditions.
Auto start
The Viofo A229 Ultra 2CH dashcam automatically starts recording when the car is started. So you don't have to worry about it when it's in the car. The only requirement is that it is connected to the car's power supply.
G-sensor
The built-in G-sensor allows the Viofo A229 Ultra 2CH dashcam to detect when you have had an accident. In the event of an impact, images are automatically saved securely so that they are not lost. They can no longer be overwritten or deleted via the dashcam.
AV output
The AV output allows the dashcam's image to be displayed on an external monitor, such as a built-in car navigation system. An AV cable is required to transfer the images.
Super capacitor battery
The Viofo A229 Ultra 2CH is equipped with a super capacitor battery. This battery ensures that the camera can shut down properly after a power failure. Super capacitor batteries have been specially developed for use in dashcams because they are more durable than regular polymer Li-ion batteries and are also more resistant to high and low temperatures.
Built-in microphone
The built-in microphone in this dashcam also records sound in and around the car. The microphone can be turned off if desired.
512 GB support
The Viofo A229 Ultra 2CH supports MicroSD cards up to 512 GB.
